The Technology:
Network Redundancy
Fibroptix's core network is "protected", which means each backbone link is backed up with another that travels through a different physical path. We use Cisco based core routers and switches, which creates a highly redundant network infrastructure. Fibroptix's core routers each have built-in failsafes in the form of dual components and always have backup routers and switches already mounted in the racks in case of double failure. This provides three levels of redundancy on each critical component.
Network Operations Center and Datacenter (NOC) Fibroptix's core network components are located in our primary datacenter, backed up by redundant generators and uninterruptable power supplies (UPS).Our site is fully protected by card access, video cameras and on site security personnel. Our NOC also benefits from the availability of emergency power, and will remain operational in the event of a major power and communication failure. How is Fibroptix different from it's competitors? A Complete Solution: Fibroptix is the only provider that manages it's own Network Operations Center and also operates a datacenter where clients can rent half and full racks and interconnect them with their LanX at no extra cost. This allows clients to extend their internal network into a secured and controlled environment where they can place their servers and other critical components of their infrastructure.
Gold Partner: Fibroptix is a Microsoft Gold Partner and holds their Hosting Competency, which enables it to lease both servers and Microsoft software on a monthly basis. The servers are installed in the datacenter and added to the client's private network.

Redundant & Server Solution: Other providers connect directly to the client or interconnect two buildings to provide a LanX. Fibroptix always runs a fiber from each location to our main Network Operations Center and interconnect multiple LanX connections there. This creates a star based topology instead of a simple point to point link. Fibroptix clients can then benefit from increased redundancy, access to their redundant 10Gbps internet fiber network, and take advantage of our complete line of services which include collocation, online backups, hosting and the virtual office.
